The International Education Fair "Education and Career" was launched in Kiev in 2002. "Education Abroad" is an integral and growing sector of comprehensive annual "Education and Career" held twice a year by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Association “Znannya” since 1992.
The fair takes place in November and April each year in Ukrainian House in the very heart of Kiev attracting potential students not only from Kiev region but also from other regions of Ukraine.
In Nov 2007 “Education Abroad” attended 47 institutions from 10 different countries which made this the biggest international education fair in Ukraine. Total average number of institutions attending “Education and Career” fair exceeds 130. These include Ukrainian schools, universities, institutes, professional academies, student associations and specialised media.
The aims of the fair defined by the Ministry are:

to inform about the opportunities of studies abroad, systems of education in different countries, employment prospects after graduation;

to introduce different types of programs from language courses to master postgraduate education and research;

to offer a possibility to Ukrainian students to discuss directly with representative of overseas educational institutions entry requirements, cost and payment, degree requirements, accommodation etc;

to give a possibility to Ukrainian students to take the entry interview or test with representatives of educational institutions during the fair;

to provide information on scholarships and grants from international organizations and foundations;
-
to facilitate academic co-operation and student exchange between foreign and Ukrainian institutions.
"Education Abroad" fair consists of the following sectors:
- language courses
- vocational programs
- secondary education
- higher education
- business education
- professional education
- work & travel
